We thank all of you who donated to La Raza Chronicles during our fund drive!

On our program:
  • Julieta Kusnir discusses the impact of Chevron Oil’s extraction practices with Mitch Anderson in anticipation of protests at the local Chevron Shareholders meeting.
  • Julieta Kusnir also talks with Gina Madrid and Alex Leenson about the immigrant hip hop event, Dreams vs. Walls at La Pena in Berkeley… and a lucky person won the ticket giveaway to this wonderful La Pena event.
  • Nina Serrano discusses the Mission Poetry Movement with Avotcja: it‘s origins and development.  They read their early work from when they first met 40 years ago.
  • We hear marvelous music from Lila Downs and other Latin music luminaries.   Listen and enjoy!

Produced by Julieta Kusnir, Vanessa Bohm, Nina Serrano and Jill Montgomery on the board.
