This week’s program includes News Headlines from the Americas, Tierra y Libertad: An Environmental Interview by Marcelino Echeverria with Dr. Pena on traditional water conservation in the southwest. We introduce our new California history series: “Voices from the Peralta Hacienda.” In this first segment we learn how the US conquered California.
We’ll also hear a conversation with curator, Rio Yanez and artist, Adrian Arias about the Dia de Los Muertos exhibit at Somarts, and an interview with music producers Greg Landau and Camilo Landau about the soundtrack for the Benjamin Bratt movie, “La Mission”. We’ll cruise down the Streets of Aztlan, hear music and a calendar of upcoming events. Listen and enjoy!
