Come enjoy the 70th Anniversary Celebration of Orquesta Aragón, in their first-ever Zellerbach Hall performance. Founded in 1939, and performing continuously to sold-out audiences worldwide, Orquesta Aragón plays authentic Cuban music with a multi-generational appeal and has recorded over 100 albums. Director Rafael Lay, son of an earlier leader of the group, brings to us the group's beautiful orchestration, performance excellence, and music styles – from charanga to cha-cha-chá, son fusions and more. This is a timely celebration of seven decades of Cuban music and culture.
